Summer has been busy for us at Otley Chevin B&B. As well as hosting lots of lovely guests, the enormous gardens have been a source of joy, as well as much hard work. Elderflowers were picked and cordial made and now we are enjoying a bumper crop of runner beans, courgettes and tomatoes. Bilberries foraged from above the house on the Chevin have been featuring on the breakfast menu in the form of bilberry buttermilk pancakes with maple syrup and crispy bacon. We are now in the middle of blackberry season and with some apples ready in our orchard, blackberry and apple compote has been on the breakfast table every day.  Blackberries are also languishing in kilner jars with sugar and gin, to make a delicious blackberry gin in time for Christmas.

The new chairs and tables on the terrace have been enjoyed by guests taking a Pimms or glass of Rose in the summer sun and enjoying the beautifuviews.
